Episode 18: You Can’t White Knuckle Surrender with Leah Garza

Episode Notes

Leah Garza is committed to the full dismantling of society as we know it. She is an Akashic Records practitioner, veteran teacher and activist. In this episode we discuss:

  • Leah’s personal journey to presence and surrender, including finding  the Akashic Records and a transformative spiritual experience swimming in the Pacific Ocean

  • Decolonality, what it means, how it’s essential in understanding and cultivating justice

  • Trusting the soul and honoring our own inner light

  • A profound recent experience Leah had in the Records and a contemplation on the nature of good and evil

You cant white knuckle surrender. Which just shows how colonialism is infused in everything. I thought I had to work harder to surrender. Yes there’s effort, but surrender is not related to productivity or work. Everything has to come hand in hand with compassion, or else it’s not going to work.
— Leah Garza
I trust the soul, I trust there is wisdom there. if we could see that the light is in us, even when we’re experiencing massive oppression or  hardship due to the structures human beings have created, then I think we could find our power in these situations. and then from there we can shift things
