No. 106 Neuroplasticity, Mushrooms, and the Body with Federico Petrelli

Today's guest is Federico Petrelli, a dear friend of Eva's, and this interview was an instant favorite for both of us.

Federico’s life and work revolve around the transformation of suffering into growth.

At a young age, a rare neurological disorder forced him to change the life and worldview he had always taken for granted. He left his job advising Israel’s Mission to the United Nations and embarked on the arduous and wondrous journey of rebuilding and rewiring his nervous system so he could speak, chew and walk again - something his doctors didn’t believe was possible.

Through mindfulness, self-compassion and neuroplasticity techniques, he now helps others on their own journey towards wholeness.

We discuss:
* Plant medicine, psychedelics, and neuroplasticity

* Dystonia, neurological conditions and healing the body

* Stories and identity built around illness and difficulties

* Tending to our trauma and the direct positive impact on physical health

When we stop resisting, we can start transforming and choose to grow from our challenges.

I felt my body greeting me as a friend. Maybe for the first time that I’ve witnessed that, like my body being like, hi pal. Yeah. We love you.
